GPRN\/NSCN president \u2018gen\u2019 Khole Konyak reaffirmed that his commitment since joining the Naga national movement remained and that neither power nor position mattered to him.
\nKhole said this while interacting with the NMA and NSF delegation which met him and the \u2018ato kilonser\u2019 N. Kitovi Zhimomi at Oking (Khehoi) on August 8.
\nKhole described his elevation as president of GPRN\/NSCN as an honour which he accepted with all humility and responsibility to serve the Naga people unwaveringly even at his advanced age. <\/p>\n

He advised the younger lot not to be confused or misled to commit mistakes while stressing on peace, unity and oneness as the way towards realistic solution to the \u201cIndo-Naga problem.\u201d
\nKhole also revealed to the NMA and NSF delegations that as martial law supervisor, he had saved the lives of both Isak Chishi and Th. Muivah from certain death. He expressed the belief that bloodshed among Nagas would never solve the Naga issue.
\nAppreciating the response of the NMA and NSF to the invitation, N. Kitovi Zhimomi also said the GPRN\/NSCN was matured enough to understand the sentiments of the people.<\/p>\n

Kitovi also admitted that   lack of communication had caused \u201cundue speculations\u201d between GPRN\/NSCN and NGOs and civil societies in the past but said that phase was over and it was time to do what was best for the Nagas by those who believe in the right of the Naga nation.
\nKitovi also said killings among Nagas had multiplied orphans and widows in Nagaland while multiplications of anti-social elements were \u201ckilling Naga society slowly.\u201d He said that under the pretext of fighting for sovereignty, \u201cNagas have murdered enough\u201d.
\nHe said only peace and reconciliation can rebuild Naga nation and that independence and sovereignty cannot be compromised for a piece-meal solution.
\nMaintaining that the future Naga generation deserve to prosper with the rest of the world,Kitovi said this can be realized only if all Nagas contribute towards peace, reconciliation and an acceptable political solution.
\nNMA president Abei-\u00fc Meru reiterated that NMA did not represent any group, faction or party but a mouthpiece of all who desire peace and harmony in the land.
\nEchoing sentiments of mothers in Naga homeland who have lost either a son or  a husband in fratricidal killings, Abei-\u00fc said it would be unfortunate if another cycle of violence erupted among Nagas. She urged resolving
\n differences for the common good and hoped the periodic meeting with GPRN\/NSCN authorities   would restore trust and confidence between national workers and civil societies.
\nNMA advisor Sano Vamuzo lamented that educated Naga youth loath coming back to the beautiful home land because of conflict. Stressing on oneness, she said as Nagas believe in Jesus as the only son of God, they should have one vision and one solution.
\nSano also maintained that Nagas, as Christians should seek forgiveness only from God and have a common vision. She said Naga groups use the same flag and claim to worship the same God so there was no reason why Nagas cannot come together on common issues. <\/p>\n

She regretted that the Naga struggle has been directed within Nagas as against the past when Nagas fought the Indian military.
\nRosemary Dz\u00fcvich\u00fc, advisor NMA expressed the hope that the plight of Naga women would be addressed by all political groups as Naga women played an important role since the beginning of the Naga political struggle. She also pleaded for equal opportunities for Naga women national workers and also highlighted incessant taxation on educational institutions.Rosemary urged national workers to understand that government of India has its own policy in recruitment, development and administration of educational establishments in Nagaland. She also said the Irish experience in conflict resolution should serve as a good example for Nagas. Rosemary said since sovereignty was a conglomeration of policies, peace among Nagas would enable them to deliberate on the issue. <\/p>\n

  NSF president Kelhouneizo Yhome said NSF, formed in the forties, had been vocal of the Naga national movement and proactive in all Naga areas and not confined to Nagaland state. Yhome said NSF will back any organization that reflected the desire of the pioneers of the Naga national movement and also efforts for peace and reconciliation among Nagas which is the will and desire of Nagas for an acceptable solution under the aegis of the FNR. He expressed the hope that Nagas would reason together for the sake of the future generation
\nReminding about a decision not to tax educational institutions and local entrepreneurs for a specific period, Yhome requested the GPRN\/NSCN to streamline pro-people policy so that Naga could build a prosperous society as along with the rest of the world. He offered sharing of ideas and opinions with national workers to promote understanding and coordination in future. <\/p>\n
