An amazing Halloween.<br \/>\nUh, no.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s all for show, writes the domestic diva\u2019s daughter, Alexis Stewart, in a new book, Whateverland: Learning to Live Here, co-authored with Jennifer Koppelman Hutt. Alexis and Jennifer snarked on Martha in their Fine Living Network show, Whatever, Martha. ABC.com characterizes the book as a comical guide for those who \u201chate how-to manuals,\u201d slated for bookstore shelves Oct. 18.<\/p>\n<p>But this book takes Martha-bashing to a new level. Some excerpts:<br \/>\n&#8211; \u201cMartha does everything better! You can\u2019t win!\u201d Alexis, 46, says of her world-famous mother, 70. \u201cIf I didn\u2019t do something perfectly, I had to do it again. \u2026 I grew up with a glue gun pointed at my head.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Halloween? \u201cThere were no costumes. There was no anything. We turned off all the lights and pretended we weren\u2019t home,\u201d writes Alexis.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Martha\u2019s bathroom habits? \u201cMother always peed with the door open. I remember saying, \u2018You know, now I have friends over! You can\u2019t do that anymore! It\u2019s gotta stop! My friends\u2019 parents don\u2019t do it! Give me a break here! I don\u2019t feel like being embarrassed! It\u2019s exhausting! I\u2019m a kid! Stop!\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The refrigerator was always empty. \u201cThere was never anything to eat at my house. Other people had food.
