{"id":75822,"date":"2011-10-12T23:38:31","date_gmt":"2011-10-12T23:38:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/10\/12\/dragon-king-prepares-to-marry-beautiful-pilots-daughter\/"},"modified":"2011-10-12T23:38:31","modified_gmt":"2011-10-12T23:38:31","slug":"dragon-king-prepares-to-marry-beautiful-pilots-daughter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/10\/12\/dragon-king-prepares-to-marry-beautiful-pilots-daughter\/","title":{"rendered":"Dragon King prepares to marry beautiful pilot\u2019s daughter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/YYQIHHVYGDCKGVHPPYLT.jpg><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When Bhutan\u2019s charismatic young king was crowned in 2008, tens of thousands of his subjects, including nomadic yak herders, trekked for days from all over the tiny Asian country to salute him. <\/p>\n<p>King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, 31 \u2013 an Oxford graduate whose tastes encompass mountain-biking and the music of Elvis \u2013 rewarded their affection by greeting thousands of them in person and hugging their children. <\/p>\n<p>Now, the \u2018prince charming of the Himalayas\u2019 as he\u2019s been dubbed, is to wed a beautiful student ten years his junior in three days of colourful festivities, starting from October 14. <\/p>\n<p>His adoring admirers \u2013 he was once mobbed by weeping teenagers in Thailand \u2013 might be disappointed if his bride weren\u2019t quite so stunning and good-natured. <\/p>\n<p>The Druk Gyalpo or Dragon King announced his engagement to pilot\u2019s daughter Jetsun Pema in May. <br \/>\n\u201cShe is a kind hearted girl who is very supportive and whom I can trust,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what my people will say about her, but I find her complete with all the qualities a woman needs to have.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Locals seem to approve of his choice and there is feverish excitement ahead of the nuptials. <br \/>\n\u201cI have no words to describe it&#8230; I just feel wonderful,\u201d 21-year-old student Chencho Dorji told AFP. \u201cThey are the perfect match.\u201d <br \/>\n\u201cNobody knows how many would turn up. But we expect more than 10,000,\u201d said local official Kunzang N.
