The Ao Senden clarified that whether there were election or any other event coinciding with the date (s), the festival would go on as desired by the Ao community as per their tradition. \u201cJust because of the bye-election to the Aonglenden A\/C that coincides with the Moats\u00fc festival which date was fixed by the Election Commission of India; it should not be misunderstood that the festival is using for the electioneering campaign process,\u201d the Ao Senden said in a statement issued by its president Lendinoktang and general secretary, A. Nungsang jamir.
