Tuensang District Ad hoc Teachers\u2019 Association (TDATA) Friday stage a silent procession here to press the government for acceptance of their several demands.Their demands included immediate regularization of ad hoc teachers who set for test; ad hoc teachers, proved genuine by the SIT\/ department, be called for suitability test and ad hoc teachers, who has completed three or more years in service, be called for the test. The demonstrators, who converged at GHSS auditorium for a brief programme, later marched towards the DC office and submitted an ultimatum to director of School Education through DC Tuensang.
In an ultimatum, the TDATA expressed disappointment over government\u2019s failure to deliver justice to its earlier memorandum submitted April 28 last even with the expiry of its 15-day deadline.
The association further stated that 94 of UDAs, LDAs and grade IV staffs, serving under the education department who appeared the suitability test conducted last year for regularization along with the ad hoc teachers, were regularized Vide No. ED\/ESD\/A-I\/RGL\/2010 dated Kohima November 1, 2010.
The TDATA questioned the department what was taking it so long in regularizing the ad hoc teachers when it could regularize those UDAs, LDAs and grade IV staffs.
\u201cThis is complete injustice and an act of partiality which is unacceptable,\u201d they said and demanded for immediate redressal.
Further, the association warned to take own course of action if government failed to accede with their \u201cgenuine demand\u201d within stipulated time.
Around 500 ad hoc teachers participated in the procession holding placard which reads, \u2018stop policy of discrimination\u2019 where is our regularization\u2019 deprivation towards teacher means deprivation of students\u2019 \u2018give the teachers the right to live with justice and stop step- motherly treatment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
