DIMAPUR: Condemning the action of NNC (non-accordist) \u201cself style\u201d, vice president, Kiumkam Yimchunger for tarnishing the image of the national workers, the central executive member NNC, K. Obed said that Kiumkam has been terminated from the organization. In a press statement, CEC Obed claimed that Kiumkam along with his comrades- Nitoi Sumi, Abel Sumi, Khehoto Sumi and Khekavi Sumi have assaulted Sumi national worker, Tohuko Zhimomi NNC workers in 2009-10 on the pretext that the CEC was against his group. Observing his self style attitude, Kiumkam has been terminated and NNC government would take action against him, the statement said.
Ex-FGN army \u2018brig\u2019 retracts statement
Dimapur: Ex-FGN 6th Bde. Naga army \u2018brig\u2019 Tokugha Zhimo has retracted his statement on allegations and condemnations leveled against Zhopra Vero \u201cKedallo\u201d NNC FGN which was published on December 20. Tokugha in a press release re-affirmed his loyalty towards collective leadership of S. Shingya \u201cKedhage\u201d and Zhopra Vero \u201cKedallo\u201d NNC\/FGN under whose leadership Naga the cause was maintained and safeguarded.
District level seminar for VC, GB at Mokokchung
DIMAPUR: District level seminar for all village council chairmen and GB\u2019s organized by District administration Mokokchung was conducted on May 24 at the Town Hall Mokokchung. During the seminar, DC Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi spoke on the topic \u2018Implementation of Epic and Photo Electoral Roll\u2019 and \u2018Implementation of 13th Commission Award\u2019. Additional Public Prosecutor, Dimapur, Imtiakum and district informatics officer Mokokchung, Er. Temsuwati spoke on the topic \u2018The Village Council Act\u2019 and \u2018District e-governance\u2019 respectively.
Health awareness, relationship campaign
DIMAPUR: Seyochung Area Students Union (SASU) would be organizing health awareness cum parent-teacher-student relationship and role of community in the society on May 28 at Town Hall, Seyochung town. The resource persons include Kiritong, ADC (DMA, Kiphire), Dr.Kibang, DIO. The union has informed all the GBs, VCCs, VDBs, all communitised boards\/committees, parents, teachers, Church representatives and students to attend the programme. SASU further informed executive members, office bearers, secretaries, action committee members to reach Seyochung headquarter by May 27.

Dimapur: Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH), President, Apeto Assumi, on behalf of WSKH has condoled the demise of Kikiye Kinnimi, head GB, Lumthsa village under Akuluto area of Zunheboto district, who passed away on May 21 at his native village. Apeto said on his death, the Sumis in general have lost an upright and an able leader and the vacuum created by his demise would be hard to fill.
