{"id":80727,"date":"2011-10-31T01:55:16","date_gmt":"2011-10-31T01:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/10\/31\/dcci-lauds-nscn-k-urges-business-community-to-fight-social-evils\/"},"modified":"2011-10-31T01:55:16","modified_gmt":"2011-10-31T01:55:16","slug":"dcci-lauds-nscn-k-urges-business-community-to-fight-social-evils","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/10\/31\/dcci-lauds-nscn-k-urges-business-community-to-fight-social-evils\/","title":{"rendered":"DCCI lauds NSCN (K); urges business community to fight social evils"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has appreciated the NSCN (K) for unconditionally withdrawing the declaration against Azheto Zhimomi, MLA and Adviser, Cooperation and Sericulture. <\/p>\n<p>DCCI while stating this would go a long way in ushering in peace, goodwill and understanding amongst the Naga family, also lauded the tireless efforts of the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), various NGOs and civil societies who played a pro-active role in bringing about understanding in this issue.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>DCCI further thanked the organization for issuing strict orders to its rank and files including the army and civil set-up not to seek donations individually, adding it was a positive step in the right direction and would greatly ease the sufferings of the business community and counter the menace of illegal taxation\/collection. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIllegal taxation in the name of Christmas donation during the festive season has become habitual and compulsory in the past so many years\u201d, stated Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industrypresident, Hokivi Chishi, and hoped other organisations would also issue similar directive\/order. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industryhas lauded the Naga Council Dimapur, Women Hoho, Frontal Business Organizations (FBO), former DMC Members, ANPSA, DBPF, all non-Naga communities, GBs Union, various NGOs and civil societies, villages, colony councils, citizens who came out in unison to protest against anti-social elements and various social evils plaguing the society, and also thanked the district administration and the police for their cooperation during the campaign. <\/p>\n<p>While hoping the right message would be sent out to each and every citizen of the state particularly the anti-social elements that such activities would no longer be accepted in civilized society, DCCI disclosed that basing on its effect and impact of the first phase of agitation, the Joint Action Committee would decide on future course of action until such time these social vices were eradicated from the society. <\/p>\n<p>The DCCI further reminded the members of the business community in particular to shed the fear psychosis and come out openly against such crimes, adding \u201cWe don\u2019t need superheroes or magical powers to fight against social evils and anti-social elements\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>As the age old adage goes, \u201cUnited We Stand, Divided We Fall\u201d, so also the DCCI urged all concerned to join hands, and to stand up and fight against anti-socials without fear so as to rid the society of crimes against humanity. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are Dimapurians. We love our city and we want to live in peace without fear.
