{"id":81455,"date":"2011-11-15T00:59:08","date_gmt":"2011-11-15T00:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/11\/15\/naga-peoples-front-slams-congress-political-culture\/"},"modified":"2011-11-15T00:59:08","modified_gmt":"2011-11-15T00:59:08","slug":"naga-peoples-front-slams-congress-political-culture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/11\/15\/naga-peoples-front-slams-congress-political-culture\/","title":{"rendered":"Naga People\u2019s Front slams Congress political culture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Naga People\u2019s Front (NPF) has reacted accusations by the Congress, that corruption has led to empty coffers and halt to development and adding the Congress proved it was \u2018living in an isolated fool\u2019s paradise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NPF Press and Media Bureau described Congress as having a \u201cculture of high command politics\u201d that was alien to Nagas as showcased in the recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>On Rahul\u2019s recent visit to Nagaland, NPF said \u201cflying visits by Congress leaders\u201d that make \u201ctall statements\u201d then \u201cfly out\u201d showed \u201chow well\u201d the Congress central leadership was connected with the people at the grass root.<br \/>\nPointing out that AICC general secretary Faleiro, had described the DAN government as the \u201cchampion of corruption\u201d NPF said this was also repeated by Rahul Gandhi. <\/p>\n<p>NPF said high hopes of the youth on Rahul\u2019s visit proved a damper as he only \u201clectured about corruption and poverty.\u201d<br \/>\nIt said Congress leaders&nbsp;&nbsp; have forgotten that their party was the architect of the \u201cbiggest corruption scams\u201d in the country\u2019s history such as the 2G scam and the Common Wealth Games scam, being just two examples of plunder.<\/p>\n<p>It also took a jibe at the \u201csymbolic rhetoric\u201d of Rahul having tea at a tea stall \u201crun by non-Nagas and paying a hundred rupees\u201d. NPF said that would not convince Naga youth that the Congress was with them. <\/p>\n<p>NPF said the \u201cso-called Yuvraj (prince) of the Congress\u201d supposed to be the power behind the throne \u201ccame empty and left empty\u201d and left many Naga youth disappointed and confused on the purpose of his visit.<\/p>\n<p>It said during his visit, Rahul neither spelt out any new initiative for the people nor shared any vision besides making no announcement \u201cfor an economically backward state like Nagaland\u201d.
