Shashank Shekhar IAS, visited Wokha on November 24 and held a meeting with the political parties, NGO\u2019s, Kyong frontal organization, GB\u2019s Association and Administrative Officers at DC conference hall.<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting the observer explained on various process of revision of electoral roll and the need to maintain clean electoral roll to achieve peaceful, free and fair election. He also pointed out that, Wokha district over all percentage was in line with the state percentage of 67% while National average was 61%. <\/p>\n<p>However certain areas need rectification where percentages are high or low and urged the administrative officers to tie up with the BLO\u2019s and village authorities in taking up corrective measures. <\/p>\n<p>The areas or polling stations where elector population radio is 70% or more are: Longsachung under 37 Tiyi AC, Phiro, Wokha Village under 38 Wokha AC, Okotso, Meshangben under 39 Sanis AC, Wozhuyan Old, Yanmhon Old and New, Raland Old and New, Yankeli, Aitepyong under 40 Bhandari AC. <\/p>\n<p>He also impressed upon the administrative officers to carry out the verification seriously. V. Shashank Shekhar also said some district were continuously working on the issues to maintain in accordance with National percentage, where he urged others district to do the same and correct the issues as it might have direct impact on society and urged all sections of society to co-operate. <\/p>\n<p>He further added that a uniform yard stick needs to be applied in respect of different districts and also different villages\/ areas under the same district.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the electoral observer also visited Changtongya and held a coordination meeting at the office chamber of SDO (C) Changtongya on November 22 with BLO under 22 Arakong A\/C Mokokchung district.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting deliberated on ways and means to ensure clean electoral roll, which is considered a basic for free and fair election as distorted electoral roll would produce distorted election.<\/p>\n<p>Shekhar said he was satisfied with the overall electors total population of the constituency and that it was up to the mark of the state percentage. He expressed his gratitude to all BLO for performing their assigned duty with sincerity.<\/p>\n<p>While interacting, the BLOs shared their working experiences and the difficulties faced at the time of the deletion of the electors and also thanked SDO (C), Chubawati Chang for his guidance and contribution. <\/p>\n<p>Shekhar said biometric would be implemented at the earliest to bring out exact figure of electors in elector roll.
