\nAccording to reliable source (who also made available documental proof to this office), one Ms Kikwetna, a newly promoted UDA in the DIS Peren was transferred on promotion and posted at the Government High School Peren.
\nHowever it was alleged that the signature of another senior UDA Ms Suidau serving in the same Peren DIS was forged and claimed that it was mutually agreed upon for cross-transfer and posting and convinced the authority of the School Education Department to effect another transfer order where she was to be retained at the DIS Peren and her senior UDA was being transferred in her place to GHS Peren on May 19 next.
\nOn coming to know about the forgery of her signature, the senior UDA lodged a complaint to the School Education Director seeking the revocation of the transfer order on account of forgery and impersonation. Following the complaint received from the aggrieved UDA, the authority in super cession of the earlier transfer order cancelled the same with immediate effect on June 8.
\nWhat is more interesting is that the local MLA and Minister for Planning, Evaluation, Vety. & Animal Husbandry and Parliamentary Affairs T.R.Zeliang in recommendation earlier requested the Director of School Education for retention of newly promoted UDA under the DIS Peren and transfer of the senior UDA to the GHS.
\nAfter the transfer order was revoked by the department authority, the minister in another chit to the Director School Education on June 10 expressed dismay that his candidate has been again transferred to GHS Peren \u201cinspite of my direction\u201d and asked the latter to revoke the order immediately.
\nThe Minister for Urban Development & Hr & Technical Education Minister Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie intervened and in a note to the Minister School Education requested the latter to look into the matter and direct the department to keep the cancellation order in force.
\nHe also pointed out that there is no difference in the transfer whether in the DIS office or in the GHS but because the transfer order was issued for the first time through false record, the mistake has to be corrected.
\nAs the tussle continue to drag on, the officers of the Director of School Education convened a meeting over the issue of the transfer of two UDAs at Peren and decided to maintain status quo pertaining to the cancellation order.
\nThe School Education Minister & SCERT, Neiwang Konyak in a note to the Director of SE and DIS Peren on July 1 later stated that transfer of one UDA from DIS office to GHSS Peren may create problem or confrontation among the hon\u2019ble elected members and advised the DIS Peren not to transfer any one and that if transfer order is issued, it should be kept in abeyance without delay.
\nMeanwhile, it was also learnt that the matter has been now referred to the Commissioner & Secretary, School Education for final decision.<\/p>\n
