{"id":8363,"date":"2011-07-22T01:37:40","date_gmt":"2011-07-22T01:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/07\/22\/another-rape-murder-in-dmu\/"},"modified":"2011-07-22T01:37:40","modified_gmt":"2011-07-22T01:37:40","slug":"another-rape-murder-in-dmu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/07\/22\/another-rape-murder-in-dmu\/","title":{"rendered":"Another rape &#038; murder in Dmu."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/DWZQMHPNKHXGJVAMUXOT.jpg>Chakhroma Women Organization (CWO) Thursday blocked NH-29 near Airport junction for twenty minutes to protest against the brutal murder and rape of a 20-year old girl.<br \/>\nThe body of the victim identified&nbsp; as Avino&nbsp; was found lying on the floor of her room and covered by a cloth on Thursday morning at around 7 am at Kirha village, Dimapur. <br \/>\nAccording to victim\u2019s sister, Avino\u2019s half naked body bore cut marks on the left breast and private parts, besides bruises on the neck and body. <br \/>\nThe victim\u2019s sister said both used to sleep together, but on the fateful night, she had gone to sleep in her elder sister\u2019s place nearby, while her sister was alone in the house.&nbsp; <br \/>\nMeanwhile, police has sent the semen recovered from the victim\u2019s undergarments to Guwahati for further investigation. The culprit(s) also took away the mobile handset of the victim, police said.&nbsp; <br \/>\nActing swiftly on the rape and murder of the young girl, Chakhroma Women Organization blocked NH-29 starting from 2:30 pm, disturbing the vehicular movement for about twenty minutes. <br \/>\nHolding placards which read, \u201cset the first example and award capital punishment\u201d, \u201carrest the murderer\u201d, etc, women folk numbering to hundred initiated by Chakhroma Women Organization demanded immediate arrest of those culprits involved in the rape and murder of Avino. <br \/>\nThough no one has&nbsp;&nbsp; been questioned or detained so far, police sources disclosed that they are getting the lead. Police suspected that two to three persons were involved in the crime.&nbsp; <br \/>\nCWO general secretary, Vimeno Leigese said the bandh on NH-29 was an \u201cinstant reaction\u201d towards inhuman act, rape and murder meted out to the young innocent women by perpetrators. She said the 20-minute blockade was called after obtaining permission from DC and SP Dimapur. <br \/>\nIt may be recalled that body of a minor Naga girl, around 14 years old, who was raped and murder, was found near Chathe River May 14 last. While on June 3 last body of a non-local woman was found murdered near Chathe river.
