Former state chief minister and former governor of Maharashtra and Goa, Dr. S. C. Jamir, (Congress) and Toshipokba (NPF) are fighting the by-election. <br \/>\nAccording to a NEPS report, the DGP said the police had not received any incident till date and that things were generally peaceful. <br \/>\nAsked about the reported threat to Dr Jamir by NSCN (I-M), Kire said there was no such report of threat.
