{"id":85199,"date":"2016-12-06T00:38:15","date_gmt":"2016-12-06T00:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/12\/06\/governor-condemns-temple-vandalism-in-bangladesh\/"},"modified":"2016-12-06T00:38:15","modified_gmt":"2016-12-06T00:38:15","slug":"governor-condemns-temple-vandalism-in-bangladesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/12\/06\/governor-condemns-temple-vandalism-in-bangladesh\/","title":{"rendered":"Governor condemns temple vandalism in Bangladesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Nagaland Governor P B Acharya has strongly condemned the vandalising of temples and idols of deities in Bangladesh\u2019s northern Netrokona area on December 4. <br \/>\nIn a condemnation note, Governor through PRO said that the attacks on several Hindu in Bangladesh were carried out under a well orchestrated plan with an ulterior motive to demolish the temples. <br \/>\nTerming that the incident was completely wrong, deplorable and senseless and shameless, the Governor reminded the police and responsible administration that it was their bounded duty to protect the buildings of the minorities.<br \/>\nHe also appealed to the minority communities in Bangladesh to join hands to protect the places of worship and attack against minorities.<br \/>\n\u201cLet us be human beings first and respect each other\u2019s way of life including the religion\u201d, Acharya said.&nbsp; <br \/>\nSince, vandalism of temple and damaging idols of deities was contrary to the values and principles of any religion, Acharya urged the responsible authority to take remedial and protective steps so that minorities and their religious place were protected. <br \/>\nHe further appealed to all secular groups in India, minority religious organisations including Church leaders to raise voices against this fanaticism and protect the spirit of secularism so that this kind of incident did not happen again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland Governor P B Acharya has strongly condemned the vandalising of temples and idols of deities in Bangladesh\u2019s northern Netrokona area on December 4.
