DYC media cell, in a release issued through Aonglenden media said Imkong, who was not elected as per the guidelines of Indian constitution, should be embarrassed of being the home minister of a state and managing the present security situation and taking credit of the hard earned peace achieved solely by the FNR.
DYC also claimed that anti-social elements were involved in kidnappings and threats in spite of the home minister Imchen being stationed in Mokokchung.
Viewing this as “modest and complacent stance” towards the current situation by the home minister, DYC further alleged that Imkong was attracting all sort of anti-social elements and “gambling” with the state machineries that belonged to the people.
“The NPF on the other hand has been fastening on policies, which they fail to explain and the Congress would like to assert that NPF is soldering with fake promises which has so far made marginal progress”, said DYC. It asserted the NPF party since its inception has been a “gunny bag to accommodate unfulfilling promises”, and that it would be incomplete on the part of Congress to state the home minister, who admitted himself of having “foot-in the mouth symptom”, was against the “logical formation of Nagaland state which has given him due reorganization without which he would be incompetent in such state of affairs”.
DYC further said Imchen believed Dr. SC Jamir was the cause of all the problems in the state and the nation, and remarked that the previous press statements made by NPF wherein they stated Dr. SC Jamir was an “old statesman, who is too old fashioned to be leading the people” was hilarious.
