NSCN (I-M) Januray 31 celebrated its \u201c32nd Raising Day\u201d at Hebron designated camp with chairman Isak Chishi Swu unfurling \u201cNaga national flag.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a statement, the MIP said Swu reminded the members that \u201cit was on this day that National Socialist Council of Nagalim was formed at Nokpa (Eastern Nagalim) after the failure of NNC to rise up to the occasion to save the nation by signing the infamous Shillong Accord.\u201d
\nHe said there was \u201cterrible crisis\u201d after the Shillong Accord but \u201cGod came to their rescue and shows them the way to form NSCN to spearhead the Naga struggle.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the subsequent period, Swu said NSCN was able to win support in the home front as well as in the international level.
\n\u201cThe UNPO gave recognition and membership to NSCN in 1993 and other international contacts was also established,\u201d the NSCN (I-M) chairman said and fervently appealed to his members not to forget God and \u201cput our relationship with God a priority as this is the only way to save the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
NSCN (I-M) general secretary Th.Muivah, who also spoke at the function, reminded the members that it was on this day that correct decision was taken at the right time. <\/p>\n
He pointed out that when the British left India the Nagas, under NNC took two decisions \u2013\u2013 Naga to be their own master and Nagaland shall be \u201cNagaland for Christ\u201d. <\/p>\n
\u201cWith this the foundation of Nagalim was laid,\u201d said Muivah. He however expressed his pain that the \u201cfoundation\u2019 was getting \u201cweak\u201d because of the sins of the members. <\/p>\n
