Rengma Youth Organisation, Dimapur-Karbi Anglong Thursday demanded the implementation of stringent measures by authorities and organisations to curb illegal migrations and associated issues. RYODK also said Naga Hoho should pass an \u201cazha\u201d to stop Nagas from \u201cadopting \u2018Mian\u2019 children\u201d or \u201cgive their daughters in marriage\u201d and called on to \u201cboycott such families\u201d.<\/p>\n
While condemning the gang rape of a Naga woman in Dimapur Monday night, in a statement RYODK president Tenyenilo Kent and vice president Aba Khing, termed the incident as \u201chumiliating and demonic act\u201d. <\/p>\n
RYODK appealed to Nagas to \u201cchase out\u201d illegal migrants starting Nagaland. It demanded immediate implementation of not renting out Naga \u201cresidential or commercial\u201d houses to \u201cMians\u201d while refraining from victimizing \u201cgenuine Indian citizens\u201d. <\/p>\n
RYODK demanded that the Muslim Council Dimapur \u201cshould not be recognized\u201d by district administration and NGOs\u201d unless its membership was \u201cpurged of illegal Bangladeshi elements\u201d.<\/p>\n
It said a legislation needs to be brought in where \u201coffsprings of Naga women marrying Mians\u201d could not inherit or buy landed property in Nagaland or be conferred with tribal names\u201d. <\/p>\n
While demanding that DMC should immediately cancel trade and shop allotment licences of \u201cMians\u201d, especially in Hazi Park and New Market, RYODK stated that \u201cmake-shift colony bazaars dominated by Mians should be done away with immediately\u201d.<\/p>\n
It further appealed to Angami Youth Organization (AYO) to initiate action like the one done by Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) in Mokokchung and stated that \u201cjust collecting identity cards fees\u201d by local student\/youth unions was another form of patronage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
