State governor Nikhil Kumar has constituted district level review and monitoring committee under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) for all districts in Nagaland with C.M. Chang, MP (XVth Lok Sabha) as chairman, Khekiho Zhimomi, MP (Rajya Sabha) as vice chairman. <\/p>\n
Other members include all MLAs in respective constituencies\/districts in Nagaland; chairpersons\/chief executive officers\/administrators in respective municipal\/town councils in Nagaland; project director, DUDA in all districts of Nagaland; one member from a reputed NGO to be nominated by ministry; one professional from the field of social work\/social science to be nominated by ministry; one representative each of SC\/ST and women to be nominated by the ministry and collector\/district magistrate\/deputy commissioner of all districts in Nagaland as member secretary.<\/p>\n
The committee would perform the following task:<\/span> Functioning of the committee are: The action taken report must be submitted by the SLNA to the State Government. The action taken report must form part of the agenda of all meetings of the Committee. If there are issues of significance in the action taken report, this may be brought to the notice of Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.<\/p>\n Member Secretary shall convene meeting on the direction of the Chairman. \n1. Review Physical and Financial Progress of projects.
\n2. Review Progress on Reforms.
\n3. Review bottlenecks in implementation of reforms and projects and the way forward
\n4. Convergence of projects under UIG\/UIDSSMT and BSUP\/IHSDP as well as convergence of other initiatives at the city\/district level with JNNURM.<\/p>\n
\n1The committee should meet quarterly and conduct review of implementation of projects and reforms.
\n2. The Committee may guide the ULB(s) on the implementation of projects relating to infrastructure and services as well as implementation of reforms.
\n3. The Committee will submit minutes of the meetings\/discussion held and its recommendations to the concerned ULBs and SLNAs and State Governments concerned.
\n4. The SLNA should take action to upload the minutes on the web. SLNA will monitor and ensure that action is taken on the recommendations of the Committee. <\/p>\n
