During the 10-minute call friends tell the 911 operator that the 49-year-old, who split from her younger husband Ashton Kutcher in November after his alleged infidelity, has \u201cbeen having some issues lately.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s convulsing so we\u2019re holding her down,\u201d said one of three people who take turns to speak to the operator, repeatedly asking him to send an ambulance urgently to her Beverly Hills home.<\/p>\n
\u201cDemi, can you hear me?\u201d a woman says at one point, apparently talking to the star. \u201cYes, she\u2019s squeezing hands,\u201d she then tells the operator, but adds: \u201cShe can\u2019t speak.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 911 call was released, and posted on the TMZ celebrity news website three days after Moore\u2019s spokesman said she was suffering from \u201cexhaustion,\u201d although TMZ said she had been rushed to hospital for drug abuse.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,\u201d said a statement issued by her publicist on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
In the 911 call one woman tells the operator that Moore \u201csmoked something, it\u2019s not marijuana but it\u2019s similar to incense .. and she seems to be having convulsions of some sort.\u201d<\/p>\n
She described the actress as \u201csemi-conscious,\u201d saying she was \u201csort of shaking, convulsing, burning up.\u201d
\n\u201cShe\u2019s been having some issues lately with some other stuff, but I don\u2019t know what she\u2019s been taking .. There\u2019s been some stuff recently that we\u2019re all just finding out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Towards the end of the call, a male friend reports that \u201cshe seems to have calmed down a little,\u201d adding: \u201cNow she\u2019s breathing fine, she\u2019s not convulsing, .. she seems calm,\u201d as paramedics arrive at the house.<\/p>\n
The 911 call was available on TMZ\u2019s website with sensitive parts redacted, or beeped out — notably Moore\u2019s Beverly Hills address — although initially it posted a version which appeared to be unredacted.<\/p>\n
Moore and 33-year-old Kutcher announced their separation in November, after months of media reports about problems between the couple, who married in 2005. She had earlier been married to actor Bruce Willis for 13 years.<\/p>\n
The actress made her name in movies including \u201cGhost\u201d (1990), \u201cA Few Good Men\u201d (1992), \u201cIndecent Proposal\u201d (1993) and \u201cG.I. Jane\u201d (1997), as well as a 1991 Vogue magazine cover photo of her heavily pregnant.<\/p>\n
