Emma Watson, who has a string of acclaimed films and advertising campaigns behind her belt, has revealed that her real idea of success is being able to undertake the simple things in life.<\/p>\n
Although the 21-year-old actress was catapulted to fame playing Hermione Granger in the \u2018Harry Potter\u2019 franchise, she admits it has been a \u201cchallenge\u201d learning how to function away from the bubble of the popular series.<\/p>\n
\u201cDoing the \u2018Potters\u2019 was such a bubble and then having to figure out how to function in the real world has been a challenge,\u201d the Daily Mail quoted her as telling the Independent.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it\u2019s been the small successes for me. I know how to use a washing machine. I can cook. It\u2019s worth it for me not to feel disconnected from everything, feeling like I\u2019m in touch with people who do other things than acting or being in the entertainment industry,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Watson, who is in her final year studying at Oxford University in the UK after transferring from Brown in the US, credits her solid group of friends with helping her cope with normal life and showbiz events.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think humour has been a help. I have schoolfriends, a group of people around me, who have carried me through this whole experience and aren\u2019t fazed if I ask, \u2018Oh what are you doing tomorrow?\u2019 and I say, \u2018I\u2019m going up to see Mario Testino in Notting Hill, he\u2019s shooting me for the new Lancome campaign\u2019.<\/p>\n
