This was confirmed by official sources. In Option &#8212; III, the wards reserved women were Ward No &#8211; 3, 6, 9, 12 15, 18 &amp; 21. Kohima Municipal Council has 19 Wards.<\/p>\n<p>It may be mentioned that Urban Development Department (Municipal Administration Cell) had issued a notification dated 7th February, 2012, giving three Options \u2013 I, II and III &#8212; for reservation of seat for women for the civic polls.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The notification had asked \u201cthe administrator of the 3(three) Municipal Councils and 16 (Sixteen) Town Councils\u201d to submit their choice of any one of the three options in writing, duly countersigned by respective Deputy Commissioner\/Additional Deputy Commissioners on or before 15\/2\/2012 positively.<\/p>\n<p>It added that upon \u201cnon-receipt of any intimation from a Municipal or a Town Council within stipulated dateline, Option 1 would be deemed to have opted\u201d.<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cms.nagalandpost.com\/newsimages\/PhotosCollection\/QYDINJBJIGEPXVSHFFIB.jpg\" style=\" border: 1px solid #000; \nmargin:5px;\"\/><br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has chosen Option &#8211;III on reservation of women for the forthcoming Municipal elections.
