L. John"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/PUZTJZWMGOMJGXFRNWJR.jpg>The newly inducted parliamentary secretary for RD &amp; REPA, C. L. John on Tuesday said it was a matter of privilege to be in a position where department officers can help the people especially the poor and needy. <\/p>\n<p>The parliamentary secretary was addressing the general conference of project directors and block development officers at RD directorate conference Hall, Kohima.<\/p>\n<p>John, in his speech, thanked the government for entrusting him with the opportunity and responsibility of looking after the welfare of the rural population. <\/p>\n<p>While stressing on maintaining discipline and punctuality among the officers, he lauded the efforts of the officers in implementing the various programmes successfully, and at the same time, called for cooperation and collective responsibilitie.<\/p>\n<p>He also assured his commitment to support the department. Director RD, Metsubo, who chaired the conference, revealed that the parliamentary secretary was someone who has vast knowledge in the field of rural development, the director stated that he was looking forward to working together and learning from his expertise. <\/p>\n<p>In his welcome address, V. Sakhrie, commissioner and secretary RD assured the support of the department as he moves forward to take up the new assignment, which would be challenging, and at the same time, interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Director SIRD, Limasenla Jamir, G. Thong, general secretary, NRDSA and Er. Atu Imsong, BDO Medziphema also welcomed the parliamentary secretary to the department.<\/p>\n<p>Joint director, Hilo Semp who delivered vote of thanks also gave assurance to the parliamentary secretary to recommit their responsibilities and work for the upliftment of the department.&nbsp; Earlier, invocation was pronounced by R.
