The evangelists, Ravi Agarwal, C. Baulei Phom, Serila Sangtam, Alem Jamir, Gloria Tsopoe, Meshenti Kath and Phach\u00fclo Kath was commissioned by Rev. Wati Longkumer, director, Nagaland Missions Movement in a commission service witnessed by various Church leaders, members and Christian believers.<\/p>\n
Rev. Wati read the Bible passage from II Timothy for the commissioned evangelist.
\nRev. Wati along with Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung, general secretary NBCC, Rev. Dr. Chen Rengma, executive secretary NBCA, Rev. Meren Jamir, president NBCA and the congregation prayed for the seven evangelists. He also encouraged the commissioned evangelists to be prepared in preaching the word of God and discharge their duties accordingly. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the commission service as speaker, Rev. Dr. Anjo enlightened the gathering with the word of God from II Timothy 1: 1-18. He said Christian ministers were not called by God because of their ability or capability but were chosen according to God\u2019s own choice. <\/p>\n
Rev. Dr. Anjo expressed that the call was universal, however one needed to respond to the call, adding unless the call was responded, one cannot be selected and if not selected, one cannot be dedicated.<\/p>\n
Rev. Dr. Anjo stressed mainly on three important points where evangelists need to perform in their Christian ministry i.e., rekindling of faith, preaching the gospel and defending the doctrine. <\/p>\n
He said one has to be bold in their teaching and faithful to God to spread the Gospel of God and further encouraged that as servants of God, one has to be committed to the cause as an evangelist. <\/p>\n
Rev. Dr. Anjo also sought the prayer of Christian Churches for the success of forthcoming NBCC platinum jubilee in the month of April in Kohima. <\/p>\n
He said 50 delegates from America, 20 from Japan, 70 from Thailand, delegates from Denmark, Burma and northeast states are expected for the jubilee and highlighted the hectic preparation going on for the 75 years celebration.<\/p>\n
In the commission service, Nagamese Baptist Church, Hokhavi Colony presented a Nagamese melody, choir melody by New Life Bible College, welcome and introduction by Rev. Dr. Chen, vote of thanks, Rev. R. Meren Jamir and prayer for God\u2019s blessing by Rev. N. Tsudir, pastor, DABA. <\/p>\n
