Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has lauded chief regional manager, Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. Guwahati, B. Basumatry for establishing an office at Mokokchung at Arkong Ward on March 23.<\/p>\n
The Oriental Insurance Company, which is a Government of India undertaking, is one of the biggest and most trusted insurance companies in India. <\/p>\n
The establishment of an office in Mokokchung would be beneficial to many citizens in Mokokchung district and the clients from the neighboring districts like Tuensang, Zunheboto, Longleng and Wokha for vehicle and property insurances, stated vice president MCCI, Moasangba Jamir in a release.<\/p>\n
MCCI also stated it had actively pursued with the officials of Oriental Insurance Company Limited, Guwahati office and after a lot of efforts from chief regional manager Guwahati and district administration of Mokokchung, the dream of establishing the much needed office in Mokokchung became a reality.<\/p>\n
It may be noted here that Oriental Insurance Company had an office in Mokokchung in the past; however due to some unavoidable circumstances, the office was closed down, thus affecting a lot of citizens in the district.<\/p>\n
Moasangba Jamir also said that over the years, many citizens in Mokokchung expressed the need of a reputed insurance company in Mokokchung since most of the citizens in Mokokchung especially the upcoming generation were young entrepreneurs who want to insure their business enterprises and properties. <\/p>\n
With rapid economic development taking place in Mokokchung district especially with regard to entrepreneurship, the knowledge of insurance had developed among the citizens, and the establishment of OIC office in Mokokchung would fill the much needed gap with regard to insuring properties of the citizens, stated MCCI.<\/p>\n
MCCI has also appreciated OICL Guwahati manager, A. K. Gorlosa and divisional manager, Dimapur divisional office, S. T. Lotha for their presence at the inauguration function.<\/p>\n
Further MCCI also solicited cooperation of Mokokchung Municipal Council, NGOs, district administration and the general public for the successful operation of the insurance company at Mokokchung. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
