Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and Nagaland Medical Dealers\u2019 Association (NMDA) while appreciating law enforcing agencies in Dimapur for arresting the main culprit behind March 15 abduction of two non-local students, urged the police to arrest other accomplices involved.<\/p>\n
In a joint press release, the DCCI president Hokivi Chishi and NMDA president Ato Yepthomi pointed out that the accomplices of the main accused being still at large posed a serious threat to the society, especially the business community. <\/p>\n
They urged the law enforcing agencies to arrest culprits soon and award befitting punishment as per the law.
\nAlso, stating that kidnapping and extortion have become \u201calmost a daily affair\u201d in Dimapur, they called upon the government to allot \u201ctrace mobile network (TMN) gadget\u201d to Dimapur police so as to save time and increase efficiency in nabbing anti-social elements. <\/p>\n
Pointing out that police have to take help from telecom service providers to trace calls made by kidnappers and anti-social elements, the signatories said in the process many precious lives were been lost as sometimes the service providers also could not attend to every request.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the DCCI, in a separate release, said business establishments often fell prey to incidents that could be settled amicably. DCCI opined that damaging and vandalizing of business establishments and property were not the \u201ccorrect approach\u201d to resolve any grievances.<\/p>\n
It said the party or groups responsible should approach the appropriate authority for redressal. DCCI also called upon all sections of the society to try to create a congenial atmosphere for business to prosper.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
