NSCN (K) has expressed regret over the shooting incident near Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima and sought pardon from the innocent victim and family, the AYO and every affected individual whose sentiments, it stated \u201chave been hurt collaterally and not intentionally.\u201d<\/p>\n
The MIP, in a statement, however stated that the incident was \u201cpurely in retaliation to assassination attempt\u201d on its Sumi region, vice chairman by GPRN\/NSCN members at Zunheboto on March 15, two days prior to Kohima incident. According to NSCN (K) MIP, the GPRN\/NSCN should also own \u201cmoral responsibility\u201d for the incident as the deceased along with his \u201cextortion partners\u201d had been residing near NHAK from where they have been carrying out \u201cextortion activities\u201d and \u201charassing\u201d the entire business community in Kohima.
\n\u201cAs per the input and request from the colony folks for intervention, the action was taken,\u201d claimed the MIP.<\/p>\n
Also, while appreciating the decision of the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) to oppose shooting and killing within its jurisdiction, the NSCN (K) said it was also \u201cfully prepared\u201d to cooperate with such \u201cpositive and path breaking commission\u201d of the AYO. The NSCN (K), at the same time, urged the AYO and other civil societies including the Naga public \u201cto rise up in union against the continuing defiance of the peace programmes by Khehoi gang.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the NSCN (K) has condemned the abduction and merciless murder of its \u201ctatar\u201d late.Adi Angami allegedly by GPRN\/NSCN at Kohima March 26. <\/p>\n
It stated that \u201ccoward and unethical conducts of these gangsters who usually prey upon unarmed and defenceless victims, taking the victims alive and later killing in cold blood should be properly recorded for declaring it as war crimes and crimes against humanity even after the Indo-Naga settlement comes about.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
