Reacting to the denial made by Monyakshu village council (MVC) on the road blockade imposed against Pessao village, GB, Pessao village, K.S. Wanlang and village council member, Y. Eangba claimed that on March 6 and 7 some Monyakshu villagers warned through mobile phone that no Pessao villagers would be allowed to pass through Monyakshu village under any circumstances. <\/p>\n
The signitories said, if needed, they could even reveal identity of those who threatened through phone.<\/p>\n
They further claimed that on March 8, Monyakshu villagers forcefully blocked a vehicle that was carrying essential commodities to Pessao village, and that it was only after the issue was reported in the media on March 12, that some vehicles were allowed to pass through Monyakshu village to some extent. <\/p>\n
Further, the signatories said that \u201cpartial relaxation\u201d too was given to a supporters of a \u201cparticular political party\u201d and not the general public of Pessao village. <\/p>\n
They pointed out that on March 14, additional deputy commissioner Tobu reached Pessao in order to normalize the situation; however, they said, \u201csign of offensive and negative response\u201d of Monyakshu villagers was clearly displayed even before the eyes of the authority by obstructing one Tata pick-up that was carrying pigs to Pessao.<\/p>\n
The signatories further went on to add that on March 18, Monyakshu villagers completely damaged a road connecting Pessao village.<\/p>\n
GB and VEC member said their decision to go to the press was to draw the attention of the responsible authority so they would take positive measures before the situation worsens and not to \u201ccreate untoward incidents between the two villages\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
