{"id":89748,"date":"2016-11-30T01:01:53","date_gmt":"2016-11-30T01:01:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/11\/30\/truckers-urge-unc-to-relax-eco-blockade\/"},"modified":"2016-11-30T01:01:53","modified_gmt":"2016-11-30T01:01:53","slug":"truckers-urge-unc-to-relax-eco-blockade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/11\/30\/truckers-urge-unc-to-relax-eco-blockade\/","title":{"rendered":"Truckers urge UNC  to relax eco blockade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Truckers and transporters union of Assam and Nagaland has appealed to the United Naga Council (UNC) to relax the economic blockade it had imposed along National Highway-2 taking into consideration the untold miseries faced by truckers and transporters who were stranded along the highway.<\/div>\n<div>In a letter to the UNC president, the union president Khehuli said the drivers have been going through harrowing times since the imposition of the blockade. Besides facing problems in the form of season changes, the union said drivers were equally affected by demonetisation as they could not buy food or water with banned currency notes.<\/div>\n<div>The union \u201cfully\u201d appreciated UNC protest, which it described was genuine and for the greater good of the people and the future generations to come.
