{"id":90185,"date":"2013-03-23T01:07:10","date_gmt":"2013-03-23T01:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/03\/23\/nscn-k-fgn-nnc-na-observe-republic-day\/"},"modified":"2013-03-23T01:07:10","modified_gmt":"2013-03-23T01:07:10","slug":"nscn-k-fgn-nnc-na-observe-republic-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/03\/23\/nscn-k-fgn-nnc-na-observe-republic-day\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCN (K), FGN, NNC (NA) observe Republic Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">GoI-NSCN (I-M) talk will end in failure: Khaplang<\/span><br \/>\nNSCN (K) has publicly declared that it would not be part of the government of India and NSCN (I-M) solution to the Naga issue as it would only be a \u201csell-out\u201d solution. <\/p>\n<p>This was contained in NSCN (K) chairman, S.S Khaplang\u2019s written speech that was read out by kilonser Hokato Vusshe on the occasion of the 33rd republic day celebration of the NSCN (K) at Suruhuto designated camp on March 21.<\/p>\n<p>In the speech, Khaplang also said the ongoing peace talks between the two parties would end as a \u201cbig failure.\u201d He claimed that the government of India has realized NSCN (I-M) was not a \u201cmandated body.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Khaplang reiterated that the NSCN (K) would continue to strive for the Nagas based on political and historical rights and also if other Naga groups were \u201chonest\u201d and opened their hearts. <\/p>\n<p>On the formation of the proposed \u201cNaga National Government\u201d, Khaplang said the effort would not work as it was proposed by some groups without participation of other Naga groups.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, the NSCN (K) president said his group would continue to \u201cstand and support other oppressed people\u201d of the Indo-Burma region who aspired for \u201cfreedom and shared a common political ideology.\u201d He also reaffirmed NSCN (K)\u2019s \u201cstanding pledge and commitment\u201d to the pursuit of \u201csovereignty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 33rd republic day was observed by the 7th battalion, Suruhuto designated camp Thursday morning. <\/p>\n<p>The chief guest of the function was kilonser Hokato Vusshe. The function was moderated by Khekaho Rochill and \u20182nd lt\u2019 Ruben, chaplain of &amp; battalion Naga Army. Vote of thanks was delivered by deputy kilonser Nikuto Awomi.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">FGN observes 58th republic day<\/span><br \/>\nCorrespondent<br \/>\nKOHIMA, MAR 22 (NPN): FGN president \u2018gen (retd) Viyalie Metha has accused India of resorting to \u201cfragmenting propaganda\u201d in connivance with Myanmar to \u201cbreak the fabric of Naga solidarity.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>This he said was aimed at suppressing the people to \u201cplunder the abundant mineral and natural wealth\u201d and appealed the people to be more vigilant.<\/p>\n<p>Further accusing India of destruction of land and endangering the Naga social, cultural values, Metha asserted that Nagas shared nothing in the common with India \u201chistorically, racially\u201d and traditionally.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He also appealed to the people to correct one self and raise \u201cone voice\u201d for one purpose that was to be a \u201cman among men and nation among nations.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Speaker, Tatar Hoho FGN, Lhouvits\u00fc and social activist Kaka D. Iralu also spoke during the celebration. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Vezhotso Nyekha, deputy speaker, Tatar Hoho while Neiselie, pastor CRC Chedema village read the scripture and proposed the prayer. <\/p>\n<p>Special songs were presented by Chedema women prayer group and CYE, CRC Chedema village. <br \/>\nRazouvolie, pastor CBC, Chedema village pronounced the benediction which was followed by a feasts.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">NNC (NA) president greets<\/span><br \/>\nNaga National Council (Non-Accordist) president M.Kiumukam has wished fellow Nagas, members of other factions and well-wishers a happy \u201cNaga Republic Day.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In his message, NNC (NA) president appealed to the Nagas to maintain peace and harmony in the society. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur main goal is oneness, so we can stay hand in hand for the betterment of our society as this will be the backbone of the Nagas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Also, asserting that Nagas were unique, Kiumukam said Nagas should stay as one family according to the uniqueness of the Naga history.
