{"id":90230,"date":"2016-11-30T01:06:26","date_gmt":"2016-11-30T01:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/11\/30\/no-turning-back-on-reconciliation-dr-shurho\/"},"modified":"2016-11-30T01:06:26","modified_gmt":"2016-11-30T01:06:26","slug":"no-turning-back-on-reconciliation-dr-shurho","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/11\/30\/no-turning-back-on-reconciliation-dr-shurho\/","title":{"rendered":"No turning back on reconciliation: Dr. Sh\u00fcrho"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/EGBTKBYRJXDLJMDPEAOD.jpg>NPF president Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie Liezietsu on Tuesday categorically stated that the April 2015 reconciliation within the party was \u201ctotal and unconditional\u201d and that there was no room for \u201cbargaining with conditions any further\u201d.<br \/>\nAddressing the NPF Central Executive Council (CEC) meeting here at the party\u2019s Central Hqs, Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie further said that the party felt sorry for those who have not accepted the reconciliation, and reminded them that the \u201cparticular period\u201d was over and that there was \u201cno ground to turn back and reopen the issue.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cUnfortunate that in some quarters some people did not fit in to the system by making further bargains. However, the April 30, 2015 reconciliation was total and unconditional. Thereby, further bargaining with conditions does not arise,\u201d said Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie. \u201cWe are happy that vast majority of us have responded to the reconciliation declaration and had regained the earlier position with the spirit of forgive and forget\u201d, he said. <br \/>\nKeeping in mind the 2018 general election, Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie further said that the party felt necessary to convene the party\u2019s General Convention in 2017. However, he said today\u2019s CEC meeting could be considered as \u201ca substitute to the General Convention\u201d.\u201cFor those of you who are in the fray for the party ticket, it is time for you to prove yourself to the party through your performances,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nWith regard to the forthcoming Manipur Assembly polls, he said the party would be declaring the names of the NPF candidates in a week\u2019s time. <br \/>\nHe also expressed joy that there were two candidates from the Kuki community and another intending candidate from the plain sector. <br \/>\nDr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie said the party would work hard to see that it garners majority in the hill sector.<br \/>\nDr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie also informed that the party would be opening an office at Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh. He however said NPF was not ambitious, but wanted the party to take off when the party leaders were willing to work and organize on a stronger foundation.<br \/>\nOn Naga political issue, he reiterated that NPF was supportive for a logical conclusion to the vexed Naga political issue at the earliest. <br \/>\nHowever, he said since assembly polls were nearing, as a party, they had to be prepared for any eventuality. The meeting was attended NPF and Independent MLAs, CEC members from Nagaland and Manipur.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">CEC adopts 5-point resolution<\/span><br \/>\nThe CEC on Tuesday adopted a five-point resolution, wherein the counicl unanimously decided to support the recent NLA resolution, revoking the restriction on Women Reservation Act passed on September 22, 2012 and also to appeal the Central government not to impose \u2018Good Governance Day\u2019 on December 25 coinciding with Christmas, the day most revered by the Christian community.<br \/>\nThe house also resolved to \u201cfully\u201d endorse the appeal made by chief minister, TR Zeliang, to the leadership of the NSCN (K) in Myanmar recently to renew the ceasefire and enter into a peace process dialogue to pursue peaceful and honourable settlement with both the government of Myanmar and the government of India.<br \/>\nThe house also reaffirmed that it would continue to extend its support to the ongoing peace process between NSCN (I-M) and Government of India. CEC reiterates its stand that \u201cIntegration is and must be an integral part of the dialogue\u201d, the resolution stated. Lastly, CEC also urged upon the state government to take stringent step to protect the flora and fauna of Nagaland.<br \/>\nThe resolution committee include&#8211; Huska Yepthomi, w\/president as convener and members&#8211; Phushika Aomi, asso. press secy; Z.
