{"id":91993,"date":"2013-04-02T00:47:56","date_gmt":"2013-04-02T00:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/04\/02\/trafficked-naga-girls-rape-case-in-fast-track-court\/"},"modified":"2013-04-02T00:47:56","modified_gmt":"2013-04-02T00:47:56","slug":"trafficked-naga-girls-rape-case-in-fast-track-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/04\/02\/trafficked-naga-girls-rape-case-in-fast-track-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Trafficked Naga girl\u2019s rape case in fast-track court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><span style=\"font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;\">Pastor Jacob John re-arrested; Children expected to return within couple of days<\/span><br \/>\nBased on the confessions of one of the trafficked Naga girls- a 17-year old- who accused pastor Jacob John of repeatedly raping her, the case has now been forwarded to a fast-track court in Jaipur.<\/p>\n<p>Disclosing this to Nagaland Post,&nbsp; Programme Coordinator (Hq), FXB-India Suraksha, Satya Prakash said the statement of the girl who accused Pastor Jacob of \u201crepeatedly raping\u201d her since the age of 11, was recorded before the magistrate on Monday in Jaipur.<\/p>\n<p>According to Prakash, the girl in her statement had alleged she was assaulted and raped even after Pastor Jacob re-married.<\/p>\n<p>Prakash said an FIR was lodged by the NGO and a case was registered under section 376 Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the same was forwarded to the fast-track court under non-bailable offence. He also disclosed that earlier Jacob was granted bail but&nbsp; was re-arrested Monday as the case was now with the fast-track court.<\/p>\n<p>He also revealed that the FXB-India Suraksha team met the commissioner of police, Rajasthan Monday and apprised him of the case. He said the team demanded a high level detail enquiry into the case for which the commissioner has promised to consult with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>Asked when the children were expected to reach Nagaland, Prakash said that there were some \u201ctechnical problems\u201d as official formalities were to be completed and documents had to be processed before taking the children back home to Nagaland. <\/p>\n<p>He, however, said that after receiving the recorded statement of the girl, a team of Nagaland government officials who reached Jaipur Sunday was expected to take the children to Delhi by Tuesday. <br \/>\nPrakash said the children would halt in Delhi and after completing remaining formalities will leave for Nagaland in \u201ccouple of days\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He also informed that FXB-India Suraksha sought financial assistance for the children from the government of Rajasthan after which he said the government agreed to sponsor the air-fare of the children adding that the same was done for the children trafficked from Manipur who have already reached their home state.<\/p>\n<p>It may be mentioned that on March 12, 51 trafficked children were rescued from \u2018Grace Home\u2019 and \u2018Fathers children home\u2019 out of which eight children were from Peren district, Nagaland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pastor Jacob John re-arrested; Children expected to return within couple of days Based on the confessions of one of the trafficked Naga girls- a 17-year old- who accused pastor Jacob John of repeatedly raping her, the case has now been forwarded to a fast-track court in Jaipur.
