Longon, but the old building of DHD is yet to be demolished.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>When this reporter visited the old building site, there seem to be no hint of activity or sign for the proposed demolition though the hospital was shifted to the new block a month ago.<\/div>\n<div>Sources informed that OPD complex and main hospital project come under the North Eastern Council (NEC) and based on that new construction was approved by the Central government.<\/div>\n<div>Sources maintained said that unless the demolition was carried out soon the time period of the project would also elapse.<\/div>\n<div>Pointing out that the old building was ill-defined in its structure, sources said it should therefore be demolished so new construction could be taken up at the earliest.<\/div>\n<div>Sources also expressed concern that unless the old building was demolished, it would continue to be used as a hub for anti-social activities like public littering and immoral activities.<\/div>\n<div>It may be mentioned that the new complex constructed under NEC project consist of clinical laboratory, laboratory for RNTCP, biochemistry laboratory, anti-retrovirus and MRT.
