Parliamentary secretary, irrigation and flood control, Y. Vikheho Swu attended the monthly meeting of SDPDB Pughoboto on April 4 at DB Court, Pughoboto. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
SDPDB chairman and parliamentary secretary, Vikheho while addressing the meeting thanked Almighty God, government officials, VCCs, GBs and all citizens of Pughoboto sub-division for the co-operation and support extended to him during the recently concluded state assembly election. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
While urging all to work together for the up-liftment and development of the area, he suggested the public and village elders to take out one Jhum cycle each for the following projects – one cycle of jhumming for forest reserve, one for horticulture for the whole village and one cycle for bamboo plantation. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
He also encouraged villages to take up mithun conservation and rearing for which government assistance can be given. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
Vikheho also emphasized on the importance and need for proper economic planning of the area which can be taken up in a phase-wise manner.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the following agenda were discussed and resolved.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
On the request made by the public of KT area to resume NST Bus service from Kohima to KT area, the board decided to write to general manager, NST to resume the bus service which would go through Pughoboto to Ghathashi. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
SDPDB also decided to write to general manager, NST for allocation of a new bus to Pughoboto along with a permanent driver.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
Three schools, namely Government High School Asenkhiqa, Government Middle School Chishilimi and Government High School Kilomi were upgraded but no additional teachers were appointed for the mentioned schools till date. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
In this connection, the board decided to write to the principal director school education to take up the matter at the earliest and immediately post more teachers. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
The board also urged principal director school education to grant a full pledged high school status to Government High School, Ghathashi.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
Also, seeing the need of a treasury at Pughoboto sub-division, the house decided to write to the director, treasuries and accounts for setting up of a treasury at Pughoboto.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
SDO, PHED also highlighted the need for repair work along supply line being done from Kilomi to Pughoboto and stated that there was no quarter for SDO. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
In this connection, the board decided to write to the chief engineer PHED for construction of the same for smooth functioning of the department. During the meeting, ADC, Pughoboto reminded the villages yet to submit report for implementation of common cemetery and wildlife reserve to do so at the earliest.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
BDO Pughoboto also informed the gathering that a prospective plan for 2013-18 was to be implemented with effect from this year for which format would be issued to VDB secretaries.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
