This phenomenon has encouraged some Nagas to be brave and take up the challenge to learn Mandarin (Chinese language), the language spoken by majority of the world\u2019s population.<\/p>\n<p>Students of CBSE affiliated Maple Tree School in Dimapur has started learning Chinese language. The Chinese Institute of Language &amp; Arts Dimapur and the school had signed a MoU in this regard. <\/p>\n<p>The school directors were keen to introduce the language during the new academic session, stated a release. Parents of the students were more than enthusiastic to let their children learn Chinese. The parents were given a choice to choose a \u2018Third language\u2019 and an overwhelming majority chose Chinese.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese institute would teach children Chinese language and culture throughout the year to students from class 5 and above. The Chinese institute has already conducted a \u2018Chinese of kids\u2019 summer camp last year. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNaga kids enjoy learning the language and they catch up faster than adults. We adopt a fun-based approach to teaching Chinese so that children enjoy learning Chinese\u201d says Jenny Haining Murry, director of Chinese institute.<\/p>\n<p>Central Board of School Education (CBSE) and states like Meghalaya and Gujarat were also keen to include Chinese language in the school curriculum.
