Kajenkala a 21 year old B.A III student of SD. Jain College was crowned Miss Dimapur on Friday, at Town Hall Dimapur.\nKajenkala was also declared winner of \u2018Miss Ethic Wear\u2019 and ambassador of YAN and Elken. Kajenkala impressed the judges with her reply saying that the best blessing she could get is the blessing of her parents whom she said have parted ways. Health and beauty goes together because to be beautiful, one has to have a healthy mind and soul, said Kajenkala.
\nMakenmenla Chang 20 year old B.A.II student of Pranabananda College was crowned the first runner and winner of \u2018Miss Egon fresh face\u2019 and ambassador of Rio Premier; said her mother (a single parent) played an important role in her life and gave her the strength to know the world. She urged the people not to misuse the body by taking tobacco because life is beautiful and precious.
\nAlino Sumi a 19 year old B.A. III student of St. John College was crowned the second runner up and winner of \u201cMiss talented\u2019 and ambassador Tourism department and Aircel promptly replied that the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) motto is to provide an accessible, affordable, acceptable and accountable health care through a functional public health system. She felt blessed to have taken part in the contest as her fellow contestants taught her the spirit of oneness.
\nThe 21st Miss Dimapur was organized by Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN) in collaboration with National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and supported by Elken and NEZCC was held at Town Hall Dimapur under the theme \u201cCulture & Couture – synchronizing faces, fashion and feminism\u201d.
\nEGoN is a society which has being supporting and promoting the rich and beauty talent of the region since 1999. The society was incepted with an aim to promote young talent in creative performances in fashion and beauty while also reviving and safeguarding the unique ethnic clothing, food and cultural traditions of the Nagas while uniting for women empowerment.
\nSpeaking at the contest, Hemato Zhimomi commissioner and secretary art and culture tourism said that Dimapur has all source of influence which he said can be seen through the contest. He further said that the significance after the contest should be spreading the message of peace by Miss Dimapur and he hoped that the contest would be a platform of creating awareness among the masses.
\nThe contest started with ethnic wear where the contestants wore Naga traditional outfit and introduced themselves which was followed by designer wear; for the evening dress round Alobo Naga a renowned Naga singer and composer sang his original composition \u201cKumsujulo\u201d while the contestants walked the ramp.
\nBesides, the three winners, other subtitle holders were Faihamti \u2018Miss perfect 10\u2019 and ambassador NEZCC, Kiyeshi \u2018Miss beautiful skin\u2019, Chumchanbeni ambassador NEZCC, Neikemhienuo \u2018Miss photogenic\u2019, Longshibeni \u2018Miss congeniality\u2019, Sekholu ambassador NEZCC.
\n It may be mentioned that the three (3) contestants selected by NEZCC officials would represent the center for any state national level festivals\/programme and two (2) photogenic faces selected by the tourism department would model for Nagaland tourism advertisement.
\nThe judges for the contest were Dr. Kevichusa, Apu Chang, Amenla Therie, Asenla Longkumer and co-sponsors were Elken, NEZCC, Nagaland government, Rio premier, Music ground, Aircel, DAN government ministers official PS, Ganga mineral water weird industries, Zephyr lounge and Livingstone higher secondary school and was supported in kind by Lakem, amway, World of Titan, Caf\u00e9 77, Naro Ki, Dash parlor, Ankit, Hiyo Caf\u00e9, Uptown enterprise.<\/p>\n
