{"id":94565,"date":"2013-04-19T01:10:04","date_gmt":"2013-04-19T01:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/04\/19\/ansta-directs-members-not-to-pay-tax-nscn-k-clarifies\/"},"modified":"2013-04-19T01:10:04","modified_gmt":"2013-04-19T01:10:04","slug":"ansta-directs-members-not-to-pay-tax-nscn-k-clarifies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/04\/19\/ansta-directs-members-not-to-pay-tax-nscn-k-clarifies\/","title":{"rendered":"ANSTA directs members not to pay tax; NSCN (K) clarifies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has directed to all its members to refrain from paying tax being collected by different group of national workers during its general meeting held on April 16 under association resolution no. 3. <\/p>\n<p>In a press release jointly issued by ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth, vice president Zubenthung Humtsoe, Visato Koso jt. secretary and Temjenyapang treasurer, said the directive has been intimated to all the teaching community for strict compliance because the issue on exemption of educational institutions from taxation is under negotiation being spearheaded by NSF, ENSF &amp; ANSTA collectively along with the various factions.<\/p>\n<p>ANSTA said till the issue is resolved, the question of paying tax does not arise. Meanwhile, ANSTA Bhandari unit has extended strong support to the April 16 unanimous resolution of the Central ANSTA.<\/p>\n<p>ANSTA Bhandari unit, president Rhonthungo Ezung and general secretary Renthungo Kikon in this regard directed \u201call member teachers of ANSTA Bhandari unit to abstain from performing duties on April 24, as a mark of condemnation and resentment against the abduction of two teacher under Wokha district by NSCN (I-M) on 12 April 18, 2013.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #ff0000;\">NSCN (K) clarifies<\/span><br \/>\nStating that the NSCN (K) as \u201ca people\u2019s revolutionary government levied only nominal and negligible amount\/taxes from all government related works\u201d, MIP stated that \u201cthis trend shall continue till Nagas achieve sovereignty from the occupational forces\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNSCN (K) shall continue this negligible\/small amount of nominal taxes from all the corners of the Naga country\u201d, MIP added. <\/p>\n<p>While respecting the apex student bodies (i.e NSF &amp; ENSF) concern for the people in general and the students\u2019 in particular, NSCN (K) also appealed to them that it \u201ccannot exempt any particular departments (particularly Education &amp; Medical) but requests them to understand the NSCN\u2019s problem as a people\u2019s revolutionary government, so as to avoid any misunderstandings, misgivings and complications in the near future\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has directed to all its members to refrain from paying tax being collected by different group of national workers during its general meeting held on April 16 under association resolution no. 3.
