\nStating this at a press conference after the emergency presidential council meeting, NSF president Kelhounezio Yhome also disclosed that the federation had not received any communication from the government except having read in the media, that their demands had been accepted. The NSF said it will continue picketing the power department office unless a written assurance was received by it from the government.
\nHe reiterated that despite government\u2019s response, the NSF would continue picketing the office of the power department even on Monday when they would be meeting with the government at the latter\u2019s invitation, to discuss the imbroglio in the power department.
\nComing harsh on the recent retention and regularization of Primary Teachers by the School Education department, the NSF President disclosed, that at the emergency meeting of the federated units Saturday, it was resolved to totally oppose the decision of the school education department \u201cat any cost\u201d.
\nHe further stated that the NEF units agreed to submit reports to the NSF office by Tuesday on facts and figures after which it will decide on its course of action.
\nYhome also informed that according to their sources, out of a total of 251 teachers who submitted fake educational certificate, only 84 teachers were terminated by the government in 2010.
\nHe also said their sources again detected 570 teachers with forged signature and appointment orders and wondered what action was taken.
\nNSF also informed that the SIT report referred to 514 doubtful teachers to School Education on August 19, 2010 and demanded to know what action was taken against those teachers under doubtful category.
\nYhome also said the results of genuine teachers who had appeared for the \u201csuitability test\u201d has not been declared till today and wondered why it has been withheld.
\nOn Operation Blackboard project, Yhome said that the project was a special package for the erstwhile Tuensang and Mon districts (now Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire districts), but regretted that appointments of teachers were made on the basis of the schemes in the \u201cadvanced districts\u201d.
\nOn the controversy surrounding the Indian Institute of Paramedical Institute (IIPT) located at AG Road, Kohima,Yhome informed that the Local Management Authority failed to produce the Managing Director Ranjit Baruah as demanded by the NSF on Saturday, which was the last day. He warned that the NSF would take stern action against Ranjit Baruah and demanded that e Local Management Authority produce him at the earliest. He also urged the state government and in particular, the higher and technical education department, to take stern action against the controversial institute for duping students.
\nHe also disclosed that through the initiative of the chief secretary, a meeting was scheduled to be held on Monday at 2.00pm, where the officials from the department of higher education and Medical department along with representatives from the IIPT and Institute of Management and Medical Research Health Science (IMMRHS), Singrijan, Dimapur would be attending to discuss their non-recognition status. \u201cWe will see what the outcome of the meeting is\u201d some of the the NSF officials said. The NSF president also categorically stated that henceforth, any private agency wanting to start an institute in the state, would have to obtain a written permission from the NSF before starting the institute. It may be recalled, that trouble for IIPT began after job applications of those who passed from the institute were rejected by the health and family welfare as it has not been recognized by the state government.
\nThe NSF president also cautioned the NPSC that it should conduct the examinations on time as per the norms and not to delay the examinations.<\/p>\n
