{"id":9545,"date":"2011-05-19T19:11:14","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T19:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/05\/19\/npf-women-wing-rejoinder-to-dmcc-mokokchung\/"},"modified":"2011-05-19T19:11:14","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T19:11:14","slug":"npf-women-wing-rejoinder-to-dmcc-mokokchung","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/05\/19\/npf-women-wing-rejoinder-to-dmcc-mokokchung\/","title":{"rendered":"NPF women wing rejoinder to DMCC Mokokchung"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Reacting to a news item issued by District Mahila Congress Committee (DMCC) Mokokchung which was published in the local dailies, the Mokokchung Division NPF Women Wing questioned the District Mahila Congress Committee about the allegations leveled against NPF leaders and their roles in the recently concluded 26th Aonglenden A\/C by-election. <br \/>\nWhile terming the allegation of the DMCC as serious, NPF Women Wing questioned as to how the Mahila Congress Committee could point fingers at the home minister and PHED minister and various NPF party workers, when the Mokokchung Division NPF Women Wing did not raise any issues even though central AICC leaders along with some union ministers campaigned for Dr. S.C Jamir. <br \/>\nThe NPF women\u2019s wing asked District Mahila Congress Committee to be aware of electioneering process, and stated the ministers, parliamentary secretaries, all played their own part in campaigning for their candidate as responsible political leaders. <br \/>\nWhile terming the allegations leveled by the District Mahila Congress Committee (DMCC) Mokokchung as their inability to come to terms with the defeat of Congress party in the by-election, the NPF women\u2019s wing Mokokchung furthermore speculated if their press statement was just another case of \u201csour grapes and a foot-in-the-mouth\u201d syndrome to vent their frustration. <br \/>\nThe NPF women\u2019s wing also clarified that \u2018pulling of hair\u2019, \u2018slapping\u2019 and \u2018beating up\u2019 of women at the polling station never took place at the time of by-election. <br \/>\nIt however alleged that the designs of the Congress party was revealed on the May 7 by-polls wherein Congress workers hurled bombs and even resorted to blank firing to disturb the peaceful poll process. <br \/>\nIt further questioned the District Mahila Congress Committee whether it condoned the act of Congress workers trying to capture the booths after creating confusion and unwanted situations in the polling stations. <br \/>\nThe security forces at the polling station must be feted for taking stock of the situation and preventing any unwanted incidents, stated NPF women\u2019s wing.<br \/>\nThe NPF Women Wing Mokokchung Division also asserted they did not need any political tutoring from District Mahila Congress Committee about the motto of the NPF party \u2018Fide non Armis\u2019 and instead said it was the Congress party who first initiated the use of muscle and money power in the state election during the 1980\u2019s. <br \/>\nNPF Women Wing Mokokchung Division has meanwhile expressed gratitude to voters of 26th Aonglenden A\/C for voting for a youthful leader like Toshipokba Longkumer despite all odds and illustrated it was a matter of great pride and honour for the NPF party that a young, dynamic and promising leader like Toshipokba could win the just concluded by-polls by a huge margin of more than a thousand votes. <br \/>\nNPF Women Wing also said the by-election has greatly encouraged the party and appealed to every politically conscious and sensible citizen to extend their unwavering support to the NPF even in the days to come, especially the 2013 election <br \/>\nThe NPF Women Wing of Mokokchung also reminded its opponent that its door would be open for any District Mahila Congress Committee members who wished to join the NPF party.<br \/>\nDYC Mkg responds<br \/>\nIn response to NPF Mokokchung division\u2019s assertion that NPCC president should immediately pave the way for his successor before being shown the door by the high command, the District Youth Congress (DYC), Mokokchung Wednesday \u201chumbly\u201d advised the NPF division to \u201cmind their own party business and clean up your unfair acts.\u201d <br \/>\n\u201cIt is of utmost importance that you refrain from using unethical language against the leader of your honorable opponent &#8211; the Indian national Congress of Nagaland &#8211; just to please your tall leaders like Dr. Sh\u00fcrhozelie and Neiphiu Rio,\u201d said DYC president (officiating) Toshiakum and secretary Sanen Imchen, in a statement, adding it will not bear any fruit for the welfare of the district.<br \/>\nStating that NPF\u2019s opponent mindset and attitude for individual gain was a disease in \u201cour society,\u201d the DYC members said as respectable leaders of particular political parties it was of great importance to project a good stand of their position in any form in the society only after due consideration of the society they live in, rather than a mindless sell-out of the whole district by \u201cyour stupid unethical utterances and actions, lest we discard you all as gentlemen.\u201d<br \/>\nMaintaining that dignity and moral of \u201cour society\u201d was never projected so low among the Naga society as during the past seven to eight years, the DYC Mokokchung said: \u201cAt best, we are being offered the highest lip-service ever \u201cAos the first amongst Nagas\u201d of which NPF political party in Mokokchung district knows best.\u201d<br \/>\nTherefore, they pointed out let all, irrespective of political affiliation, try to preserve the sanctity of \u201cour society\u201d above selfish individual interests, so we as a whole can have a future and not linger in the past.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reacting to a news item issued by District Mahila Congress Committee (DMCC) Mokokchung which was published in the local dailies, the Mokokchung Division NPF Women Wing questioned the District Mahila Congress Committee about the allegations leveled against NPF leaders and their roles in the recently concluded 26th Aonglenden A\/C by-election.
