Former power minister Doshehe Y Sema has refuted the claims allegedly made by Nagaland Hotels Limited (NHL) chairman and MLA from 32 A\/C Atoizu Er. Picto Shohe that up-gradation of Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu (KPA) to a full-fledged Engineering College was a new \u201cproposal or initiative.\u201d <\/p>\n
In a press release, Doshehe said the decision was taken way back in 2007 and the same was initiated with the then minister of higher education Imkong L. Imchen. <\/p>\n
He said the request made to chief minister Neiphiu was Rio accepted and subsequently, cabinet took the decision for up-gradation. <\/p>\n
He said even though cabinet took the decision, the state government could not upgrade KPA due to land compensation issue which could not be resolved with the landowners. <\/p>\n
He also informed that anytime KPA would be upgraded once land compensation issue was settled. With regard to construction of new building of Atoizu Government High school, Doshehe said the chief minister had assured the people of Atoizu of a new school building during his last visit. <\/p>\n
He has asked Er. Picto not to \u201ctake credit\u201d for programmes already initiated earlier. Doshehe said the matter was discussed with the then minister for school education Nyiewang Konyak when he had accompanied the chief minister to Atoizu. <\/p>\n
Doshehe also pointed out that submission of proposals to the government could not be term as an achievement. <\/p>\n
He also said people and the state government were the best judges whether he had neglected the constituency or not. <\/p>\n
Doshehe alleged that the present MLA and one of his relatives had campaigned against the DAN government since 2007. <\/p>\n
Despite the effort to create divisions among the communities, Doshehe said he remained loyal to NPF-led DAN government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
