{"id":9595,"date":"2018-07-10T00:21:40","date_gmt":"2018-07-10T00:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2018\/07\/10\/npf-reject-jdus-appeal-on-cms-statement\/"},"modified":"2018-07-10T00:21:40","modified_gmt":"2018-07-10T00:21:40","slug":"npf-reject-jdus-appeal-on-cms-statement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2018\/07\/10\/npf-reject-jdus-appeal-on-cms-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"NPF reject JD(U)\u2019s appeal on CM\u2019s statement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The Naga People\u2019s Front (NPF) has issued a rejoinder to the state JD (U) press statement that appeared in local dailies on July 7 appealing for acceptance of the clarification given by chief minister, Neiphiu Rio regarding the Naga integration issue.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">A rejoinder from the NPF press bureau, questioned the JD (U) why NPF \u201cshould blindly accept the clarification\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">NPF asked the JD(U) to not interfere in the stand of another political party.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">\u201cThe JD(U) cannot insist the NPF to be satisfied with CM\u2019s clarification\u201d it stated.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">According to NPF, its constitution emphasizes on integration of contiguous Naga Areas and therefore, it will continue to pursue this till it is achieved.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">It contended that when the Naga National Workers and the GoI were trying hard to work out a solution, it was premature for the chief minister to announce that integration was not possible.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">According to NPF, the clarification from the NDPP blaming the media for misinterpreting the statement followed by the chief minister\u2019s clarification that he was quoting Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh\u2019s view was an attempt to mislead the Naga people and a hurdle to the Naga peace process.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">\u201cThe issue is not concluded here and NPF will never consider CM clarification as putting the said issue to rest\u201d said the rejoinder.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">It invited the JD (U) to explain their stand but asked it to not expect the NPF to accept the clarification with it.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">NPF stated that it viewed the \u201cdestructive statement\u201d made by the chief minister on June 12 to the media, seriously.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">It also added that the party was wondering why the PDA government was silent on the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016, when the neighbouring North Eastern states, even the BJP ruled states, Manipur and Assam, were opposing the bill.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">The PDA government has not pointed out the benefits of enforcing the bill either, it stated.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">Further, it asserted that NPF was not raising these two issues because they were an opposition party, but because the government of the day should take decisions for the welfare of the people.
