NSCN\/GPRN through its MIP, has accused S.S.Khaplang chairman GPRN\/NSCN of burning 103 houses at Hazik village besides wanton killing of animals during March 15 and in April, by calling the Burmese army which burned down Phongshom village, both in Pangmi region of eastern Nagaland. According to the MIP, Khaplang, with his cadres and the Manipur People\u2019s army(MPA) numbering around 100 went to Hazik village in Pangmi Region on March 15,2011 and torched 103 houses and also burned down 27 granaries , for allegedly providing shelter to NSCN\/GPRN cadres.MIP said \u201cKhaplang boys and his Meitei boys\u201d also randomly shot at any moving object resulting in slaughter of 24 cows,64 pigs,10 goats while countless chickens were burnt alive. It also said villagers were targeted with savagery and brutality and under torture, were \u201cforced to tell that this act of cowardice is the work of NSCN or face dire consequences\u201d. On April 1 , MIP said Khaplang \u201cagain enforced his animal like mentality against his own people, just for the pleasure of making his presence felt\u201d when he called up the Burmese army from Taka village to raid Phongshom village. It said for reasons best known to Khaplang,the Burmese army responded immediately and \u201cin no time, the whole village of Phongshom was completely burnt down.\u201dVillagers of Phongshom are currently taking shelter as refugees in Arunachal Pradesh MIP said. NSCN\/GPRN said when a leader \u201cis controlled by narrow politics with destructive devotion against anything that comes his way, the end result comes nothing near the wishes of the Nagas as demanded by today\u2019s political situation.\u201d Further,MIP said any right thinking Naga will condemn \u201cKhaplang and his boys for indulging in such course of politics\u201d to establish his dominance through victimization of innocent Nagas. MIP added it was better if any Naga leader or group try to educate his own people rather than taking \u201cpleasure in humiliating, torturing and intimidating, to serve their unrealistic politics that is distinctly marked by hatred and suspicion.\u201d <\/p>\n
