Nyanchumo Lotha, expressed serious concern over the Centre\u2019s move to introduce UCC and appealed to the chairman, Law Commission of India to \u201csincerely represent\u201d the \u2018voice of the people\u2019 to the Government of India.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>LBES said it has carefully considered the provisions of the proposed bill and had come to the conclusion that the introduction of the bill was likely to infringe the social, cultural and religious rights of the minorities in India, which it maintained would \u201cultimately destroy the very secular fabric of the Constitution of India.\u201d Meanwhile, LBES executive secretary has appealed to all the right thinking citizens of India, especially the minority communities in India, to come forward and voice their opposition to the introduction of the bill.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In line with the stand taken by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), the Lotha Baptist Ekh\u00fcmkho Sanrhyuts\u00fc (LBES) on Saturday said it stood opposed to the introduction of Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
