All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers\u2019 Association (ANPSTA) Tuesday announced it would stage agitation May 31 at the directorate of school education, Kohima against department policy of teachers\u2019 recruitment.<\/p>\n
According to ANPSTA education department\u2019s policy of teachers\u2019 recruitment was in violation of NCTE Act 1993, RTE Act 2009 and notifications of the directorate of school education dated Nov 28, 2011.<\/p>\n
ANPSTA said proposed agitation was also against the failure to comply with its ultimatum served on department May 22 last.<\/p>\n
In a statement, ANPSTA general secretary Akhobu Veswu said the decision to stage agitation arrived at a general meeting May 28 at TU Building, Kohima.<\/p>\n
ANPSTA informed that the agitation will begin at Local Ground, Kohima at 9:30 a.m. followed by \u201cpeaceful silent march\u201d to the directorate of school education, Kohima.<\/p>\n
It has all the members to attend the demonstration failing which the association shall \u201cterminate their membership from the association.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nResponding to recent government\u2019s clarification on teachers\u2019 recruitment, the ANSPTA Tuesday issued a rejoinder saying it \u201cfelt necessary to project the true legal factual on the issue the NCTE Act 1993, and the RTE Act 2009\u201d.<\/p>\n
