{"id":97505,"date":"2013-05-16T01:43:45","date_gmt":"2013-05-16T01:43:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/05\/16\/ansta-reiterates-stand-on-taxation\/"},"modified":"2013-05-16T01:43:45","modified_gmt":"2013-05-16T01:43:45","slug":"ansta-reiterates-stand-on-taxation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/05\/16\/ansta-reiterates-stand-on-taxation\/","title":{"rendered":"ANSTA reiterates stand on taxation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Reiterating its stand on taxation issue by various Naga political groups, All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has once again directed all its members to refrain from paying tax till the issue was resolved amicably. <\/p>\n<p>In a press release, ANSTA despite ongoing negotiation on exemption of educational institutions from taxation, many schools have been served with demand letters\/notes (giving certain date lines) by the different \u201cunderground organizations.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Exempting educational institutions from imposition of tax is being jointly carried out by NSF and ENSF supported by all federating units and tribal student organizations and Hohos. ANSTA opined that the purpose of negotiation would be defeated if any school\/member paid tax during negotiation process. <\/p>\n<p>Therefore, it affirmed that whatever may be the consequences, all members should remain steadfast on the issue and refrain from paying tax till issue was resolved amicably.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, ANSTA also requested all its units and subunits to coordinate with the respective tribal student organizations and Hohos for proper implementation of the directive. <\/p>\n<p>The release was issued by ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth, vice presidents Zubenthung Humtsoe and Lipiri Sangtam, general secretary P.
