Khaplang\u2019s name were the \u201csignatories in the impeachment\u201d of the NSCN (K) chief from the presidency of GPRN\/NSCN on June 7, 2011. <\/p>\n<p>Stating that this \u201ctreachery\u201d would always stare them in their faces, MIP went on to narrate the how the \u201c1988 NSCN constitutional crisis\u201d began. <\/p>\n<p>The \u201cturmoil and bloodshed of 1988\u201d perhaps would not have had such intensity had it not been for Nikhuyi Sumi alias Niki who \u201cfirst pulled the trigger\u201d of his service weapon at late \u201ccaptain\u201d Thauthing Tangkhul at Galon village in Eastern Nagaland on April 18, 1988. Stating that Niki Sumi now knew his \u201cshaky ground at Suruhuto Designated Camp\u201d, MIP said \u201cZunheboto district is once again a conflict zone\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>GPRN\/NSCN rebuts Wangtin Naga&nbsp;&nbsp; GPRN\/NSCN has refuted the statement of NSCN (K) MIP \u201ckilonser\u201d Wangtin Naga denouncing the killing of one NSCN (K) cadre at Tizit on June 4 stating that the deceased NSCN (K) cadre Wangjat Konyak of Longting village was killed by \u201csgt.maj.\u201d Kamnyei of Longphoh village belonging to the same group at around 7 p.m.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>GPRN\/NSCN MIP \u201ckilonser\u201d Akato Chophi told this correspondent that the execution was carried out against late Wangjat Konyak on suspicion that he was about to defect to GPRN\/NSCN and a party was hosted on the evening of June 5 by NSCN (K) cadres for \u201csuccessfully\u201d carrying out the killing.<\/p>\n<p>Accusing Wangtin of being a wrong man in the wrong organization, Chophi said everyone in Tizit area knows about the circumstances that led to the killing and wondered how Wangtin was kept in the dark about the entire episode. <\/p>\n<p>GPRN\/NSCN MIP \u201ckilonser\u201d said that the killing was done by Wangtin\u2019s own cadres and that blaming the GPRN\/NSCN \u201cis an indication that perhaps his best enemy in the camp or organization, Kughalu Mulatonu is trying to discredit him by keeping him in the dark or maybe the people are feeding him wrong information as he cannot be trusted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chophi stated that \u201cwe cannot hide anything from the people and we should not and that denying the killing is like an ostrich trying to hide by burying its head in the sand.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The kilonser rebutted as \u201chilarious\u201d Wangtin\u2019s statement that \u201creconciliation is the only way when his organisation does not even understand the word.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stating that GPRN\/NSCN has stood firm towards people\u2019s wish for peace oneness of Naga people, Chophi questioned whether the offensive against GPRN\/NSCN in Ahtibung, Zunheboto, Kiphire, Tuensang and Mon were Wangtin\u2019s idea of reconciliation?<\/p>\n<p>He informed that in Zunheboto, a boy of class nine did not die from crossfire as reported in the media but the deceased civilian was dragged out from under the bed where he was hiding and despite repeated pleas of his innocence, was shot dead in cold blood. Chophi questioned whether this act was \u201creconciliation\u201d and Wangtin\u2019s respect to FNR\u2019s appeal. <\/p>\n<p>On Wangtin\u2019s talk on \u201cfreedom and sovereignty\u2019 the GPRN\/NSCN leader asked what and who\u2019s sovereignty is Wangtin talking about adding that he (Wangtin) being a recipient of \u201cgood citizen of India\u201d award will make a good ambassador of India to Nagaland and \u201ctill then he should not disturb the GPRN\/NSCN as we fight against India for our rights.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Implicating NSCN (K) leaders, GPRN\/NSCN Wednesday strongly criticised them for glorifying themselves through \u201cmisleading write-ups, concocted fairy tales and lofty claim that hold no water\u201d.
