Bora and vice president Imsu Jamir appealed both sides to concentrate on peace and development of the border areas for \u201cnational interest.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Since its inception in 2005, Border Peace Coordination Committee (Assam-Nagaland) has been observing that some NGOs of Assam resort to road blockade to press for their demands which resulted in \u201csuffering of innocent people of both sides\u201d, said the press release. <\/p>\n<p>It reminded that due to the road blockade imposed by All Assam Tea Tribes\u2019 Students Association imposed road blockade and the action of a legislator from Mariani, Nagaland government had to \u201cseal all kinds of transaction either ways.\u201d Border Peace Coordination Committee (Assam-Nagaland) while stating that it could not \u201crule out such a decision\u201d by Nagaland government, appealed that the matter be taken up with the government of Assam for an amicable settlement. <\/p>\n<p>The committee also said bodies like North East Students\u2019 Organisation (NESO) could ensure that such road blockades would not be repeated in future by any groups while stressing on negotiations to fulfill demand\/s of people on both sides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Border Peace Coordination Committee (Assam-Nagaland) or BPCC (A-N) has appealed the people of both Assam and Nagaland, NGOs and the two governments to find logistic ways and means towards bringing \u201cpeace and coordinated living\u201d of Assamese and Nagas as existed since time immemorial.
