{"id":99117,"date":"2016-10-30T21:26:09","date_gmt":"2016-10-30T21:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/10\/30\/mdtoa-temporarily-suspends-chakka-bandh\/"},"modified":"2016-10-30T21:26:09","modified_gmt":"2016-10-30T21:26:09","slug":"mdtoa-temporarily-suspends-chakka-bandh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/10\/30\/mdtoa-temporarily-suspends-chakka-bandh\/","title":{"rendered":"MDTOA temporarily suspends \u2018chakka bandh\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Following an appeal from Mokokchung district administration, the proposed \u201cchakka bandh\u201d called by Mokokchung District Truck Owners Association (MDTOA) has been kept in abeyance, informed Mokokchung District Commercial Vehicles Owners Association (MDCVOA) in a press statement on Sunday.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Irked over deplorable condition of Mokokchung-Mariani road (NH 702 D), the MDTOA resolved to impose the bandh from November 1 in all the NHs connecting Mokokchung.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The decision to this effect was taken at the joint meeting of MDTOA and commercial vehicles owners\u2019 organization including Pick-Up Truck Owners Union, All Nagaland Taxi Association Mokokchung District and Private Bus Owners Union Mokokchung on October 30. &nbsp;Earlier, at the meeting with district administration on October 28, ADC Mokokchung requested for an extension of the deadline till November 20, with an assurance that the department of National Highway would undertake \u201csubstantial repairs of the road to make it motorable and safe for all vehicles.\u201d&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In this regard, the association cautioned that it would impose lightning bandh any day without any pre-information if the authorities fail to start the repair works by the first week of November.
