He informed that more that around 28000 tribal delegates attended the carnival which was held from October 25 to 28 in New Delhi. According to Rengma, two cultural troupe- Arts and Culture Department and State BJP- took part in the carnival.<\/div>\n<div>When asked about the sacking of BJP MLA Mhonlumo Kikon from the post of parliamentary secretary, Rengma maintained the chief minister is accountable to the people as advisors and parliamentary secretaries holds office of public scrutiny.<\/div>\n<div>In this regard, he said the chief minister has the prerogative to keep\/drop any MLA in accordance to their performance.<\/div>\n<div>Rengma added there should be no reason to drag the mater into political angle. On the relationship between BJP and NPF post sacking of Mhonlumo Kikon, Rengma said NPF was one of the oldest surviving regional parties and that the BJP has been maintaining stable relationship with the BJP since many years.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cOur relationship with the NPF remains stable under the presidentship (NPF) of Sh\u00fcrhozelie Liezietsu and T.R. Zeliang as the chief minister of DAN government,\u201d Rengma stated.<\/div>\n<div>He added that the relationship was unlike when Neiphiu Rio was the chief minister of Nagaland which, he said, &nbsp; experienced \u201cflip-flops\u201d as Rio used to extend issue based support to the Congress led UPA government at the centre.<\/div>\n<div>With regard to the framework agreement vis-\u00e0-vis 2018 state election, Rengma said the Modi government has broken all past records in dealing with underground outfits &nbsp;by coming up with the framework agreement which, he maintained, was the laying of a foundation stone to resolve the protracted Naga political issue.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cPrevious governments also engaged in negotiations but no solid foundation was laid,\u201d he contented.
