{"id":99288,"date":"2016-10-21T00:21:55","date_gmt":"2016-10-21T00:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/10\/21\/state-bjp-requests-gov-to-assign-nu-vc\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T00:21:55","modified_gmt":"2016-10-21T00:21:55","slug":"state-bjp-requests-gov-to-assign-nu-vc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/10\/21\/state-bjp-requests-gov-to-assign-nu-vc\/","title":{"rendered":"State BJP requests gov to assign NU VC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>BJP Nagaland unit president, Visasolie Lhoungu, has requested the state governor to assign a capable and qualified individual to the post of Nagaland University vice-chancellor at the earliest.<\/div>\n<div>In a press release, Visasolie Lhoungu said the request was made when he met state governor, PB Acharya at his office chamber on October 19.<\/div>\n<div>State BJP chief said he also expressed concern and emphasized on the plight of the Nagaland University, which, despite being the only central university in the state, has been functioning without a vice chancellor for several months now. Visasolie stated that a University cannot function effectively without a head, adding that as a result the student and staffs along with administration were facing a number of difficulties.<\/div>\n<div>Further, he maintained that the individual must be someone who understands the conditions of the University and was empathetic towards students and teachers alike.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He said the governor was appreciative that a pertinent issue was being brought out and assured to look into the matter at the earliest.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BJP Nagaland unit president, Visasolie Lhoungu, has requested the state governor to assign a capable and qualified individual to the post of Nagaland University vice-chancellor at the earliest.
