In a press release, DNSU, N. Pitovi Achumi, stated that the government\u2019s refusal to constitute a CBI enquiry would only indicate that the state government was \u201ca party to this crime and the public will not remain a mute spectator to that.\u201dDNSU has called upon citizens from all sections of the society to come forward \u201cin support of this cause for common good.\u201d The union expressed dismay over what it called the lacklustre attitude of the state government in spite of the evidences and records submitted clearly indicated rampant fuel adulteration racket in Nagaland. Terming the fuel adulteration as \u201ca broad day-light robbery\u201d, DNSU said such illegal act deprived the people of their right \u201cto get a fair value for their money\u2019s worth.\u201d The union stated that leaving this \u201cdrain of wealth\u201d unchecked would \u201conly burden our stagnant economy further\u201d.
