The teachers, parents and elders were the stakeholders to revive culture and identity, she said, further stating that all should take advantage of the old people\u2019s presence and showcase the culture and tradition before they left us. She said that everyone was responsible for preserving the tradition and identity and take the opportunity of such programmes, she added. DMD &amp; programme coordinator Kala Utsav, Timothy Thong in his introduction of Kala Utsav said that it was an art festival to showcase tradition and culture. Kala Utsav was a national programme launched by HRD in the year 2015. He also stated that diversity, language, culture and way of life are a concern and so Human Resource Development was stressing on protecting \u201cour\u201d culture and identity from vanishing.<\/div>\n<div>The programme was chaired by deputy project director RMSA, Ayie Yhome and vote of thanks was given by assistant mission director RMSA, Dr. Khatoli Khala. Other highlights of the programme included competition in four categories of dance, music, visual art and theatre from six districts, namely Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha, Phek, Tuensang and Kiphire.<\/div>\n<div>Awards and certificates were given away by the vice principal, Government Higher Secondary School Seikhazou, Kohima. The awardswere given underfour categories: Dance Zunbeboto in 1st place and Mokokchung 2nd; Music Kiphire in 1st place and Wokha 2nd; Visual art Phek in 1st place, Mokokchung 2nd and in theatre Mokokchung took 1st place.
